We all love a little bit of a dopamine hit, but its when we start relying on it from social media and other outlets that it has a negative impact in our life's. All day is spent constantly scrolling through social media, watching the news, we are surrounded by gossip, drama and other distraction all day. There is way too much information coming at us that we can't think clearly, every trivial detail is magnified under the microscope, speculation is rampant and the mind is overwhelmed.
Control the amount of information you consume you don't have to do everything at once. The important stuff will still be important by the time you get to it. The unimportant will have made its insignificance obvious or simply disappeared.
Ask yourself every moment, ' Is this necessary?'
The way you feel when you awake early in the morning and your mind is fresh and as yet unsoiled by the noises of the outside world, that's worth protecting.
